Running XP w/ SP2 and Norton. Using Linksys router for a laptop. Added a
wireless gizmo to sons Xbox so he could Live wireless. That works now. But my
log in procedure has changed.

Use to have welcome screen, entered password, done.
Now have log in box, must be administrator, name and password, and it will
work.
If you WINDOW+L to switch users, it hangs. C-A-D does nothing. Must do a
hard reboot and start over.
I was a hero for getting the xbox to work, but now my computer is a pain.
I tried to change User accounts, but that didn't seem to do anything. I must
have changed settings somewhere.

Suggestions?
Thanks

What precisely did you change on this workstation? Adding an Xbox to your
wireless network shouldn't change anything on any other computer.....you
shouldn't have had to do anything.

It took a while to figure out the setting for the Xbox as the router was set up by my wife's company for her laptop. Once I had the password, it worked. I did go to a Linksys screen online and answer questions on the setup. But that didn't seem to do anything.
I have since disabled the screen saver and changed the settings under User
Accounts. I tried welcome screen and fast switching, checked and unchecked.
They were both checked before this happened.

And Thank you!
I also have been getting message reports to send to MS something about Log
In UI I think. There are 10 different reports. Happens at log in and log out.
I will try to see what the reports refer to.

Nine error reports about Windows Login UI
szAppName:logoui.exe szAppVer:6.0.2900.2180 szModName: logonui.exe sz
ModVer:6.0.2900.2180 offset 00018e03

details are similar \Local~1\Temp\WERbc1b.dir00\logonui.exe.mdmp and a
second the same ending with appcompat.txt

The other 8 change the WER number

I have the other numbers if it helps.
Thanks
