Not sure if anyone has had or heard of this problem but maybe someone can
offer some help/advice.

I have a home network with three computers, all running XP-Pro, hard wired
through a router.

I am having this problem on only one (Dell 8200) of the computers.

When I go to a WEB site log it shows me as logged in. I then click to go to
one of the forum selections and it takes me there but logs me out.

Example: I go to MSGA.com and log in. I then click on the "New Forum" area
and it takes me there but logs me out. I log back in and go to a specific
topic and the same thing happens.

So far I have;

Remove all cookies
Reset security to "Medium"
Reset “Automatic Cookie Over-ride†to unchecked
Shut down Norton Password program
Shut down Windows Password program
Shutdown “Pop-Up blockerâ€
Restored to computer to a date before this problem started
Ran “Spy-Bot†then shut it down
Ran “Ad-Ware†then shut it down
Ran virus check (2 different ones)
Repaired Windows
Shut down as many programs running in the background as I have the knowledge
to do.

Nothing has worked and the problem is still there.

Any and all suggestions/advice would be greatly appreciated.

Ron

What do you know about that website? Do you trust it? How & why?

I typed in www.mgsa.com and it took me to www.seek.com which claims to be a portal to other sites.
And I note that it pushes (tries) popups --- but is blocked by IE6-SP2 popup blocker.

I didn't see anything wrong that you did, per se. However, the restore and the Windows repair were overkill.

Are you perhaps looking for msga.org ? The Maryland State Golf Association? If so, you mis-typed the domain !

Sorry if I did not express my problem very well.

I used MGSA as an example. I also mis-typed it as it should be MSGA which is
the Mississippi Geo-Caching WEB page.

It is not just that site but any site I go to that requires a log in.

I go to the home page and log in and it accepts my log-in. If I then go to
another area of the site, like forums, it logs me out. I log back in and go
to a specific topic and it logs me out again.

Any time I change areas within a WEB site it logs me out.

This is only happening on that one computer. From that computer I can not
post topics as it will log me out each time I change areas.

I have been fighting this problem for almost a month and it is driving me
crazy.

Is this pc running anything that is blocking cookies? And another thing, Try putting each one of these websites into the Trusted Sites list in Internet Explorer browser.
