Log-In after Remote Desktop Connection

J

J.B.

Hi all!

I have a question to the specialists of XPe:

I use a remote Desktop connection (RDC) over my target computer (with XPe)
to access. This works also well.

If I start the remote Desktop Connection, the administrator logged off at
the system, because i log in as administrator by the RDC. So, if i log off
and end the RDC, the administrator will not log in automatically. Why?

What can i make, that the administrator will automatically log in when RDC
is ended?

Except the component "terminal services" I have otherwise nothing into my
image.

Sorry for my english.

Can anybody help me?

Greetings from germany

That is how RDP works on XP (and therefore on XPE too). The XP's terminal services do not allow auto logon when the RDP session is
over.
Some workarounds we have discussed over the years in this NG. You can search and see for yourself:
http://groups.google.com/group/micr...embedded/search?hl=en&q=RDP+auto+logon&hl=en&

However, probably the best bet for you, if you really need this issue to be fixed, is to use a 3rd party remote management tool such
as VNC, RAdmin, LogMeIn, etc.

This is a feature of RDC, and it occures in XP Pro as well. There is a
licensing issue with only one user allowed to access the system at the same
time.

The only way method I know is to reboot the remote system and have autologon
enabled.

I hope there is another solution out there...
