Log file size has been exceeded

Using Windows XP MCE on an HP Pavilion a1330n

I have been getting a popup error when doing various things such as reading
newsgroups, browsing the internet (using IE 7), restarting the computer, and
just about any other process. It's pretty random.

What the popup error says is

"Error-Logfile size has been exceeded. Login process has been terminated"

I have tried clearing the Event Viewer events in each log, and setting them
to overwrite as needed, but the error persists. Any ideas?

If any more info is needed, just ask and I will try to provide it.

Thanks

Something may be doing 'Performance Logging'

start/run, type:

HH ms-its:%windir%\Help\howto.chm::/snap_sysmon.htm

In Counter Logs, rightclick the 'system overview' entry, Properties, and log
files tab. There should be a check in 'overwrite...'
This is the only default log file in Performance.
