Log Broken

I can not see the system log, it indicates a number of records, the event
log service is started, but I can't stop and restart. Is is a dependent
service. Any direction please.

The .EVT file may be damaged.

You can try the RESOLUTION steps in the following article with the
SysEvent.evt file in the %systemroot%\system32\config folder:
