Locking

i have a document created. but i only want certain parts to be editable on
that document how to i lock those parts that i dont want to be edited???
and can i do this on word and excell??

Divide the document into Sections by inserting Section Breaks and then apply
protection for filling in forms (Tools>Protect Documnet) to the Sections
that you do not want to be changed.
