locked out of the Active Directory management

I am running Windows 2000 Server SP4. Recently I got
locked out of the Active Directory management
applications. I got the message:

"Naming information cannot be located because: Logon
attempt failed. Contact your system administrator to
verify that your domain is properly configured and is
currently online.

any ideas?
 
Did you search the KB at all? There are articles on this.

I think the most common cause is that the Access this computer from the network user right is misconfigured.
