Locked out of database

Dear Sir,

I am locked out of my database. My database was on 2002. But now I am
opening in 2003, Can that be a problem?

Also I do not remember my username and password. This is a database I had
preppared long ago but now I need to get some data from it. Please someone
guide me so I can get into my database. Thank you.

There is no magic password to get in. If there were, then the security
would not do much good.

You can try a few things.

Join a workgroup where you do know the userid and password, or where there
is not one and try opening the database. People often think they have
secured a database, and really all they did was set up a UserID and Password
in the workgroup file. The database can still be opened with any workgroup
file.

Create a new database while joined to a default workgroup file, or one that
you know the use and password. Then try to import the objects from your
protected database file.

If that fails, you may have to pay for recovery software, or pay a recovery
service to do it for you.
