Locked out of Computer

Friends of mine have a Windows 2000 box. They reset
their passwords (including administrator) and now cannot
log into the system at all. What is the work around for
this?

This is easy.

If it's FAT32, boot on a floppy and delete the SAM file.

If it's NTFS create a linux boot floppy that will allow you to change the
password.
