Locked out of account - Please help :(

Hi. This is rather frustrating actually. When i went on vacation I had no
password for my administrator account, but when I came back someone had put a
password on the account.

So now I can't get into my admin account on Windows Vista because I do not
know the password.

I do not have a recovery disk with the password on it, and I do not have a
Vista installation DVD. I've searched for countless hours for a solution, but
haven't found one. Microsoft customer support, and customer support from the
manufacturer haven't helped in the slightest... I'm just hoping to get some
help.

Cliffnotes

-Don't know password to admin account on Vista Home Basic x32
-Only have access to standard user account
-No Recovery CD, no Vista Installation DVD
-Can't system restore without administrative priveleges
-Desperately looking for help

Thanks in advance... :S

I concur with Brink.

If Method 3 doesn't work you'll have to reinstall Vista to gain
administrative control.
I don't want to sound flippant but you first might want to spend an hour or
two to find the person who hijacked your UAC and press them for the password.

If you do try Method 3 I'd be curious if it worked.

Best of luck.
