Locating files

I recently "lost" a file I had created, eventually had to do a desktop
search to find it. Turns out it was listed under "Microsoft Powerpoint
Presentations" instead of "Microsoft Powerpoint Slide Show" and it wasn't
listed when I went to search. Can anyone tell me the difference?

Hey Happy,

Primarily the difference is the file extension and what PowerPoint does with
it when it sees it.

A Presentation is a PPT file that opens in 3 pane edit view
A Slide Show is a PPS file that opens in an active Slide Show.

The file format is identical and they can be changed by simply changing the
file extension.
