Locally override profile storage policy?

Win 2000 SP4, client administrator rights, domain user rights

Is there a way to locally/temporarily shut down the
"profile storage" mechanism?
Or maybe only exclude some directories?

Any help appreciated!
 
what is profile storage? if it's profile size. then

User Config\Administrative Templates\System\User Profiles\Limit profile size
