Localhost Not Available

When trying to publish web to localhost, localhost icon is not available when
browsing for publication destination.

Running FP2002 SP3, FPSE v. 10.0.2701.0, IIS 5.1 is running, and WinXP SP2.

Any suggestions on why localhost is not available?

Have you tried opening it first? The network destinations usually only show
up after you've visited it or opened it previously. Just type
http://localhost/ in the open box and it should scan it, then show a listing
for the localhost and the webs under it. With luck, it will be added to the
list the next time you browse for a destination.

When I manually typed in the publish destination, it says a web does not
exist, do you want to create one. After typing in password and hitting ok,
the connecting box just keeps reappearing and will not allow me to proceed.
I know the password is right.

Are you trying to Publish from your remote webserver to your hardrive?

Or are you trying to create a web on your local machine? If this is the case
all you do is Open FP and create a new web/site
