I have a shared USB printer that is connected to an XP Pro PC (PC1). I have
another XP Pro PC (PC2) with 5 local user accounts. I have connected to the
shared printer using the command line function:
rundll32 printui.dll,PrintUIEntry /ga /c\\PC1 /n\\PC2\SharedPrinterName
This function adds the printer globally for all users on the XP PC (PC2).
It shows up in the Printers folder for all users, but only prints from 2 of
the users. The other users get "Unable to Connect, Access Denied" when the
printer is accessed. All users are administrators on PC2.
I can ping PC1 from all users on PC2 using the UNC name for PC1 so I know
the network is OK.
Any suggestions are welcome - and needed!
