When i try to publish a website containing feedback forms
using frontpage, it asks me to type the address of a web
server. So i created a local server - my own computer. It
has the name of my computer. But i have lot of problems
with it. Perhaps I have done something wrong in
installing the Frontpage server extensions etc...

can somebody help me to convert my PC into a local server?

I was trying to get the feedback data into text and other
files. Can somebody tell me how to do that?

You have to install a web server on your local PC. The leading
candicates would be would be Microsoft's IIS, available for Windows XP
Pro (not Home) on the XP CD, or Apache (available from www.apache.org).
Chose which you want, and read and follow the installation
instructions provided for each product.

If you've aready installed, and have problems ... then un-install and
re-install following the instructions exactly.

For more assistance, you may wish to re-ask the questoin in a newsgroup
dedicated to FrontPage. If you do this, please be specific about what
you are doing, version numbers of software involved, exact error
messages, etc.

Hope this is useful to you. Let us know.
