Local Security Policy Error

WHen I click on Local Security Policy I get the follwoing
error:

Snap-in failed to initialize.
Name: Group Policy
CLSID: {8FC0B734-A0E1-11D1-A7D3-0000F87571E3}

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Make sure that your equivalent of
c:\windows\system32\wbem
is early in the system path environment variable.
This is found in the properties of My Computer,
where you will see an Environment button on one
of the pages. Edit the system path variable carefully,
not the user path variable.
