Cant open local security settings in admin tools

P

Paul

Hi folks, just posting a prob for someone on a
forum I visit.

This error comes up when:

They try to open the "local security settings" in administrative tools:

"Snap in Creation Failed, it may not be installed properly.
Name: Group policy object editor
CLSID:{8FC0B734-AOE1-11D1-A7D3-0000F87571E3}"

This sounds like the right NG, sorry if it isnt.

Any info on how to fix it wld be appreciated

Thanx

{8FC0B734-A0E1-11D1-A7D3-0000F87571E3} is the Class ID for Group Policy
snap-in.

I have no idea what {8FC0B734-AOE1-11D1-A7D3-0000F87571E3} is.
