Hi,
This has been stumping me. Its not a simple checkbox issue as far as I
can tell.
I have a XP Pro client. I can connect it to one 2003 Server and the
printers are shared (or I see log enteries for missing drivers). When I
connect to another 2003 Server (same settings as the first, as far as I
can tell), the printers are not shared and there are zero errors in the
system event log on that server.
The only difference that I am aware of is the network. But since I can
connect to both via RDS, I'm lead to believe that the network should
not be a factor. Both servers are 2003 Standard Edition.
On the 2nd server it looks like printer redirection is somehow just
shut off. However, I cannot see this being set as such in the Group
Policy Editor, nor in the Terminal Services Config tool. My client
config is set to share both drives and printers.
One bit of additional info is that I am successfully sharing drives
with both servers. The hang-up is the printer redirection.
I'm baffled, so any input would be much appreciated.
thanks,
Brice
