local IIS won't run

my local Internet Information Server (IIS). I installed and uninstalled it
three times and it still will not run.
what can i look for to see to fix this?

what specifically does the event viewer say? Have you tried stopping and
starting the IIS service from the service MMC applet? What happens when you
do that?

I'd say that there is a service/user password conflict....
