Local Downlevel Document owned by SYSTEM being deleted when 'lpr' sent to printer.

I know this question has been asked a number of places, but I do not
see any resolutions with this problem. If anyone has solved this
issue, or has more information, I would appreciate any advice.
---------------------------------------------

I have a Windows 2003 Server with a printer set to paused. I have
shared the printer and have set security for everyone to have full
control. When I print from a Windows Application to the printer
(Notepad, Word, Crystal, etc) I can print normally and successfully.

When a lpr job gets sent to the printer on the Win2k3 server I get the
error:

============================
Event ID: 13
Document 3, Local Downlevel Document owned by SYSTEM
was deleted on AZURITE
============================

Where "3" changes to a different (increasing numeric order) number
when it is a different document and AZURITE is the name of the Win2k3
server.

I can even see the lpr document go into the queue on Win2k3 and then
disappear. The job never prints.

I have searched Google Groups and Microsoft Support with no luck. I
find many others that have the problem, but no answers to why the
problem exists or how to resolve.

If you have seen this error happen before, please let me know. Any
help is appreciated.

Thanks again.
