Local Area Network Unplugged.

Please can somebody help me? For the last couple of days a note comes up on
the bottom right hand corner of my screen saying that my local area network
is unplugged. I have checked all the cables and everything seems ok. After
about two minutes it automatically starts back up and then everything is ok.
My modem supplier has checked it out their end and say that my signals etc
are all ok. Please help, its really annoying now.

What are you connecting to - is this an Ethernet connection directly from
your PC to a cable/DSL modem?
Have you tried another Ethernet cable?
Got another computer you can check with?

Or, you could have a bad network cable.
