Local Administrator Account

I am currently using Windows 2000 Professional. When trying to run a program, TuneUp Utilities,I get this message

You must logon as a local Administrator account to run this program. Please help

I suggest you do as you're asked.
 
I should have worded the question properly. Currently I am not a local Administrator. I need to add myself to the Local Administrator account without involving the IT group in my company. How do I do this

I'm afraid you cannot do this. If you wish to install software that requires
administrative privileges than you need to ask your IT Group to configure
your machine accordingly, or to provide you with a local adminstrative
account & password.

Alternatively you could ask your manager to direct the IT Group to change
their policy with respect to end users installing their own software. When
doing this he will probably be asked to accept full responsibility when
things go wrong.

Well, the message is clear enough. Simply log in using the
built-in local Administrator account.
