I need to setup a computer in our lobby to show a
powerpoint presentation and maybe our website. This
computer will be setup in our lobby and customers that
come into our company can see our presentation on a big
screen. Has anyone ever done something like this? What is
the best way to do this and what do you recommend about
securing the pc so people can close out of the presention
screen.

I'm not with you on this one.... What are you trying to do? Replace the
explorer shell with iexplorer? If so, you can edit the shell key in the
Registry.
Can you break it down for me?

How can i have this command startup when the computer boots iexplore -k page
?

Also is there a way to do this with a powerpoint presentation

basically i want to have a computer in the lobby that when i boot it up it
will automatically go to a presentation like powerpoint. Or have the option
to go to the internal website. I will do a registry change to have it
autologon. But when the computer is showing the presentation i want it where
no one can hit a key or accidently close out the presentation. For example i
went to a computer store and they had their display computers showing some
type of presentation about the computer and you could not get out of it.
none of the keys worked.

thanks

Maybe the keyboard wasn't connected to the computer.

Ok, I did this a long time ago on NT4.0. If memory serves, most of the hacks
I needed to do was found on www.jsiinc.com. I *think* I can dig my
documentation up from a backup, even though it's written for NT it may point
you in the right direction and give you an idea what needs to be done.
Let me know if you want me to start digging in the past :)
