loading XP

I got a virus from Earthlink email through Outlook
Express. We reformated the hard drive and we are now
having problems loading XP. On the 3rd disc I get the
msg "File SETUPREG.HIV could not be loaded. The error
code is 4096. What should I do next?

3rd disk??? XP comes on only one cd. What is it your trying to install? Do
you mean floppy boot disks? If so, just boot to the xp cd and follow the on
screen instructions.
If you have a recovery cd usually your just boot to the recovery cd and go.
