Loading XP Professional

Hi
I have 2 computers 1 with XP Professional the other with
Windows 2000, I want to install XP on this one. I can
format this machine to re,move 2000(I have no
partitions), but cannot get XP to boot from the disk,
yes I've changed the boot sequence, can anyone help?
BE AWARE,I HAVE THE W32.SWEN.A@mm WORM which Norton
antivirus blocks, quarantines and assures me I am not
infected. I have downloaded the Norton removal patch but
cannot stop the worm E-mail coming thro', does anyone
know how to stop it.

I don't think anyone will be able to help you until you provide
greater details pertinent to the problems you're experiencing.

For instance, what error(s) do you get when you try to boot from
the WinXP CD? What, specifically, happens?

And why do you still think you have a virus, if your antivirus
application is telling you that you don't?
