Windows XP Loading XP on to Gateway laptop

I'm trying to load XP on to a Gateway laptop but the XP installer says that it can't find any disks installed. According to a diag disk the HD is SCSI/ESDI. Any body got any ideas on how to install?
 
ESDI is an 'old' technology, very old ... I need more info on which Gateway Laptop you have.


If indeed you do have a SCSI / ESDI hard drive, you will need to load the correct drivers by using F6 when installing XP

Check your BIOS is Auto-detecting the HD.
