loading software

i am trying to load a brand new kid Dr. Seuss CD rom and
i keep getting an error message that says it encountered
a problem I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling
still nothing works the disc is XP compatible I've sent
and error report several times yet I have not gotten a
response..Hp says it is a Microsoft problem, Microsoft
says it is an HP problem what do I do next?

Whats the exact error message? Does any other application have issues
installing? What installer does it use?

Send the CD back and get a replacement.
