loading a program(trying)

i have a program i bought new when windows 98 came out...i
tried to load it in my new pc ,which has xp ...i can't
load it,because a window pops up saying i need 95 or
98...is there a fix for this short of loading the old
version of windows?

You can try using the compatibility wizard but beyond that you would have to
check with the software manufacturer to see if they have an update for the
application for XP or an updated version compatible with XP. Go to
Start\All Programs\Accessories and select "Program Compatibility Wizard."
