Live update of Excel Charts in PowerPoint 2000???

I know there are several questions about this out there, but I haven't found
an answer that works yet.

My mission: Create a Powerpoint presentation that loops over and over on a
flat screen tv on the wall in our Maintenance office.

My Problem: I have several Excel charts in my presentation. (I Copied,
Paste Special, Paste Link, Microsoft Excel Object) These Excel charts are
also linked to other Excel workbooks where people enter the data. So, when I
open them up it says these are linked, do you want to update? I choose yes.
This has carried over to my PowerPoint presentation. When I open the
presentation it says this is linked do you wish to update links blah blah
blah. I choose yes and it gives me this same message 6 times for he 6 Excel
charts that I have coied over. Then I run the slideshow and gets through one
loop and asks do I want to update links again. etc.

Desired Outcome: Every time someone updates that chart, I want the data in
the Powerpoint chart to update while the presentation is running. Without
asking if I want to update links a million times. I tried the Update Links
add-in but that didn't work. I'm not sure if I set it up correctly or not.

There may be VBA code that will solve my problem, but I am not familiar with
that or PowerPoint enough to know how to do it. I hope this makes sense. I
am going nuts trying to figure this out. Any suggestions would be greatly
appreciated.

Thanks.
