Well since OC 2.5 is about to end anyways - and well AVG ( False Alarm /
False Positive detection occurred in 2 months ) can you have any other
options like say other AV there is Trend Micro and Mcafee and others...
well I wouldn’t mention the one that charge 90bucks just for a support

Amanda,
I would recommend Windows Live OneCare 2.5 to novice and professional
users.

Not for me. I tried it and it told me my system was at risk because I hid
some hardware updates......

You're welcome to dislike OneCare since it is far from perfect *and* security
suites are very much personal preference based on experiences, etc.
The handling of Automatic Update monitoring with the simplistic requirement for
"download" and install immediate or at a specified time being the only valid
choices to be in good status is also a reason to complain about OneCare, but you
were *never* at risk for hiding hardware updates. If, however, the updates were
offered incrrectly by WU as Important or Critical, OneCare would have advised
that updates were missing. And, that is assuming that AU was set to one of the
required choices. Had you configured AU to any other setting, OneCare would make
the status "at risk" without even knowing what updates were available for the
system.
