little envelope doesn't appear

The Little One

The little envelope that appears in the system tray when new mail arrives,
has suddenly stopped appearing.
Does anyone know how I can turn this feature back on please?

Using Outlook 2003 and Win XP

Outlook - > Tools->Options->Email Options - >Advanced Email Options -> Show
envelope icon in notification area

Click to expand...

Right-click the Taskbar and select Properties, then Customize. Scroll down
and find the "You have new unopened items" icon and change "Hide when
inactive" to "Always show". Click OK, then OK.
