Lite-On DVD Writer - Unlocking

Bought a lite-on DVD Writer a while ago, which is looked to playing only
NTSC DVD's (I'm in Australia would prefer PAL). Anybody know how to unlock
these things?

Try looking on cdfreaks.com <shrug>, they can be helpful sometimes.
