Low volume with DVD burner

I have a Lite-On DVD Burner which burns with Nero software. I play back
with CycberLink Power DVD.
My pc volume is quite loud. But when I play back a dvd the volume will
only reach a comfortable level. In other words, with my dvd burner I
can't get full volume.

I have checked all controls I am aware of and can't fix the problem.

Which controls?
Check Windows (or some soundcard software) mixer, check for
the possiblity of a control in Power DVD.

Your DVD might just have lower levels, that is more common
with movies than music as it allows for more dynamic range
(and frankfully, music is supposed to be the same but the
major labels have been compresssing them (compression here
is not the other common computer term referring to a file
compression codec to reduce filesize).
