Windows XP sees the Lite-on drive, but does not read a dvd-rom or dvd movie
in the drive. All it says is to put a disc in the drive. I have tried
uninstall and then restart my computer to let it see the drive and reinstall
it, downloaded the new firmware for it, but nothing helps. Anyone have any
ideas?

Go to Start > Run and type in: devmgmt.msc
and press the Enter key. After the Device Manager
window opens, scroll down to your DVD/CD-ROM
drives, click the "+" to expand, then right-click on
your DVD Drive and select Uninstall. You will
be prompted to reboot your computer, so reboot
and Windows XP will reinstall the DVDDrive.

market briefly.Go to google.com,search,type:liteonit In results page,locate
liteonit with firmware downloads, locate youre hardware,download,install...
