List Styles

I think I need to rephrase the question

When I create Table or List Styles in Word 2007, they don't appear in the
styles list (character and paragraph styles do). I have selected "All Styles"
to appear under options. I can see the styles in "Manage Styles". How can I
make them appear in the main styles list and be able to use them?

Table styles don't show up in the Styles pane; this is by design. However,
you can apply a table style via the Styles pane (Ctrl+Shift+S) or via the
Table Tools Design tab of the ribbon.

Thanks for your help. Do you know why the List Styles (eg bulleted lists)
don't show Up. In 2003 it wasn't instantly displayed in the main Styles list.
Now I can only see it in Manage Styles.

Oddly, though, if you add the Styles dropdown to the QAT, it does display
table styles.

And if you choose to display all styles (in the Style Pane Options dialog
box), the Styles dropdown also shows list styles. This is also true for the
Apply Styles pane (but obviously not for the Styles pane). This is certainly
a bit confusing... <sigh>
