list of effective pages in MS Word

I would like to know how to build a List of Effective Pages using automation
in MS word. Is there a way of doing it?

depends on whether you can offer a useful definition of 'effective page'
 
Sorry, I don't have a clue what a list of effective pages is. A table of
contents? An index?
