Liquid Cooling

Have you even done any research on what various persons have posted here???
Have you even considered any of their advice??
get your head out of your ass and use whatever bloody search engine you like
but do some
friggin research...........

Heatpipe coolers are very efficient but need a good fan and good air
circulation in the case.
Those fins act like a car radiator...those pipes are filled with a liquid
which absorbs the heat and wicks it
away into the radiator where the fans cool it down....

Right now on a 32degree day my 25% overclocked Intel Core2duo CPU is running
at 35/38 with an internal case temp of 32
using a Thermalright Cooler and Scythe fan

just look at the pictures of all of those cooler, there is a little
plate that do touch the CPU, but the part where the fan is, is hanging a
few inches above that little plate, so how come are tehy working better
than the ones that come with the CPU and the whole cooler is in contact
with the CPU

Most of the current best coolers use a technology called "Heat pipes".
It has been around for years but only applied to HSFs in the last few years.

Old HSFs used thermal conduction to move the heat away from the CPU and
into the fins. Heatpipe HSFs use thermal CONVECTION and a phase changing
fluid to do the same, but MUCH more effectively. Basically what
happens is that the fluid evaporates (boils) when in contact with the
hot CPU block, rises by convection to where the fins are and condenses
thus dumping a huge amount of heat. The fluid then trickles back down to
the CPU bock to be reheated.

This allows the HSF manufacturers to do two things... 1) Get the fins
away from the mobo for better airflow, and 2) put a MUCH bigger fan on it!

BTW are you naturally obtuse or do you have to work at it?

No need to be rude, but I did not know any of this, even way back when I
tried a CPU cooler that was not made by the CPU maker, they were still in
full contact with the CPU unlike those new cooler with the "heatpipes"

Sorry for my ignorance, but I was brought up in a manner that if you do not
know something you ask somebody that might know the answer, and that is what
I just did

And I thank all of you for the answers and advices that you gave me

I do not use any search engine, because I can not longer find the Microsoft
Live Search, everytime that I try to connect to it I get another completely
website that I can not remember the name out of hand

NCIX is one of those companies that I want to like, but their attempts
to bully customers out of extra money annoy me.

One example is that they try to claim they're not liable for products
lost in transit unless the purchaser buys insurance. While they're
welcome to offer a refund or not, as a matter of law they are liable,
and your credit card company will refund a purchase that you didn't
receive, so it's disingenuous (at best) to sell customers protection
that they already have.

Well I suppose that all store, whether online or phisical, do try at some
point to get more money from what you are buying than just the stated price.

Everytime that I go to FutureShop to buy something, they try to get me with
their extended warranty, and the thing is that if whatever I am buying break
after the warranty is expired, I will likely find something similar or even
better at the same price or lower, so those extended warranty are just
another way to get you

Like everything else you buy its always buyer beware..
I just decline the insurance and they have never lost one of my orders

Sure, but with Future Shop at least you get something of value for the
extended warranty. The value may be questionable, but you get
something.

NCIX's attempt to sell me insurance to cover things that they're already
legally obligated to cover just feels wrong.
