I have both linux(redhat linux 9) and windows xp(home
edition) on my PC and every time I turn the PC off when I
restart it runs the checkdisk even if I have tuned the PC
off correctly, and because of that I can't run the disk
defragmenter tool. Any suggestions?thanks.

Hi Ratao,

Click Start >Run >type "regedit" > ok

Navigate to

HKEY LOCAL MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session
Manager

Double click the "BootExecute" value, and remove all the
entries

If this doesn't clear the problem you may well have a problem
with your Hard Drive go to the manifacturers website for
diagnostic tools.
You may also try:-
Disable or Enable CheckDisk Upon Boot (Line 82)
