Linksys DNS issue

I have a small network setup that is using a DSL connection to get out
to the internet. The network is a domain that has an internal WINS
and DNS server. I bought a Linksys router and set it up as the DHCP
server on the network. Everyone connects to the internet fine, but we
are having internal DNS issues. I set the router to add my internal
DNS server through DHCP, but it will NOT assign it. If I do an
IPCONFIG /ALL on a workstation I see the DSL's DNS servers but not
mine. If I add my internal DNS server static, I loose internet
connection, if I leave it the way it is I have DNS issues. Anyone
know a way around it? I called Linksys and they said that the will
not support me with an internal DNS.

Hmmm. Any other DHCP servers on the network? I would probably do DHCP
through a W2k server/DC rather than through the Linksys.

I tried to put in forwarders over the weekend, but the network dns
server is also the dc, it does not support forwarders and if I make
the dc the dhcp server I still run into the issue where I loose
internet access if I add my internal dns server to my machines.

worked great, I had to reboot once where the server nor the document
called for it, but other than that everything was a brease....thanks

Well, all you really had to do was refresh the DNS console that part is in
the article.
