links window

When I click on a "link" it always opens in a minimized new window.
Is there a place to set it to open in a maximized window ?

Do you really mean a small window? If so...

Try stretching the small window to full size. (Do not use Maximize)
Ensure that window is the last one closed and IE should remember the
size next time.
