links will not work in any message/windows vista

With any message I receive, I cannot click on any link without the message
"application not found" popping up. My husband set up two user accounts on
our computer so I could set up my own email account. He can open and use any
link in any message that comes to him but mine are all blocked. We cannot
figure out why or how to fix it.

This will work for some, but not all, kinds of links: In your account and
on
your desktop, click on the orb, then Default Programs, then Set your default
programs, then Internet Explorer. If you don't get the message This program
has all its defaults, click on Set this program as default. Click on OK,
then
the X at the top right of the window.

This assumes you want to use Internet Explorer as your browser.
