links on outlook express don't work

Any internet links on e-mails received do not work. I can
click the highlighted link but nothing happens. I mean
nothing. I can put the cursor to the link and see the
arrow turn to an index finger, but when click, the outlook
cannot link to the internet. I recently upgraded from a
98 to 2000 operating system, but the inability to "link"
was occuring even before this upgrade. I do have an old
computer, Dell XPS 266 I purchased in 98.

Any suggestions?

Hi Edward,

When I experience that symptom on my computer, I am able to solve it by registering
urlmon.dll. To properly register it:

Quit all programs that are running. Click Start, click Run, type the following
command, and then click OK:

regsvr32 URLMON.DLL

When you receive the "DllRegisterServer URLMON.DLL succeeded." message, click OK.

And if that does not resolve the issue, see more solutions in these Microsoft
