Links not working

The last few days, any links embedded in web pages have stopped working.
For example, a link to "contact us," or to anyother web page, has stopped
working.

I have disabled my pop-up stopper, and have tried "open link in new window"
from the right-click menu.

I have searched the Microsoft Knowledge Base several times, to no avail.
Either I haven't been able to find the right search terms, or they don't
have anything.

Any ideas?
