My bad. I appologize, I thought Electronic Arts(EA Sports) had aquired
the game. You might try asking on the games group on this server. You
may want to include the name of the missing .dll file when you ask.

I found a couple of issues with Links LS2000 on XP.

The first thing to do is make sure the program is up to date with any patches. All of the current patches are available here:

The Adrenaline Vault | Downloads:
http://www.avault.com/pcrl/patches_list.asp?letter=l

Also, a few users have had problems running the game in XP. Running the program in Compatibility Mode solved most of these problems. Here is information on how to set this up.

HOW TO: Use Windows Program Compatibility Mode in Windows XP:

Finally here is an article on trouble shooting problems in LS 2000.

Links LS 2000 ran fine on my old Gateway which originally ran ME and then was
upgraded to XP. But I just had a new XP computer built for me with an AMD
Athlon 64 dual processor, and I got this endless loop with the almost the
same error at the top of the thread when trying to reinstall Links LS. I
uninstalled and reinstalled Links LS, downloaded the 1.21 patch, and ran
Compatibility, but all to no avail.

The error reads:

Links LS 2000 Main Executable has encountered a problem and needs to close.
We are sorry for the inconvenience.

After hitting Don't Send for the error, the screen keeps going dark and the
same messages come up in an endless loop until I delete LINKSLS.EXE and
LINKSLS2K.EXE from the active processes.

What now?

TIA
