Links in Windows Explorer

Someone I know has Win XP and when he has explorer open
some of his files are underlined and in a blue color. Does
anyone know why this is are what the use of this is?

Blue files are compressed files. Running disk cleanup compresses old/not
recent used files and makes them blue.
