blue with underlining in windows explorer

Something changed in windows explorer recently. I am getting blue text in
folder names with underlining. This is in the root directory and below. It
has done this before but then changed back to the normal black with no
underlining. I have windows XPpro set for classic mode with details in
windows explorer. Can some tell me why it is doing this, thanks.

in windows explorer under tools or in control panel look for folder
options and under the general tab down near the bottom look for the
section 'click items as follows' and make sure the double click to
open an item is ticked instead of single click....
