Links from web pages

I am having problems opening links from some web pages. There doesn't seem to
be any pattern, and even in one web page some links will open and some won't.
I am trying to book a holiday at the moment and it is very frustrating
because the calendar link won't open and I can't fill in the field manually
because I don't know the format. Clue - they often seem to be Javascript
things (sorry, I'm not a techy). The problem is even worse in outlook
express. I seem unable to open most links from an E-mail and have to paste
the URL into IE directly. I have tried to put everything I can find into the
lowest security level, but I'm not really an expert at this.

Hi,
Work though these possible solutions:
http://www.mvps.org/sramesh2k/IEFAQ.htm Tips #21 & 46
http://www.fjsmjs.com/OE/nolinks.htm
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=281679

If unsuccessful with those steps, it may be a JavaScript problem.

Try these steps:
Go to Internet Options> Security> Internet Zone, set it to Default.

Try the Internet Options> Security settings at
http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/restricted.htm#Setting

Clear the IE cache. IE> Tools> Internet Options> General> Delete
files (and delete offline content when that dialog pops up) It's often
recommended that the TIF folder be kept at about 50 MB (Settings.)

Important...
Check any third-party security programs to see if one of them is blocking
scripts, scripting, active content. Norton Internet Security and a number of
other programs can be configured to block scripts.

Try these two commands from Start> Run> cmd [enter]
regsvr32 vbscript.dll [enter]
regsvr32 jscript.dll [enter]

Reinstall the scripting engine. Go to
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/downloads/list/webdev.asp
for the appropriate download of Windows Script 5.6

Re-registering the DLLs listed in this article may help:

After You Click a Link: http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=281679

Hope this helps,
