Links favorite folder allways appearing !

Hi,

XP SP2 french

I keep getting a "links" folder appearing in the root folder of my
favorites. It allways is empty.
If I delete it it reappears at next reboot

That is annoying since I do not like anything that I do not need, and have a
peculiar order of my favorites, and that
"Link" folder irritates me.

How can I get rid of it forever ?

You can't really remove/delete it. However, using Tweak-UI ( an
XP Powertoy ) you can mask it out. Option found in the Explorer
category. Scroll through the list and uncheck/untic "Show Links on
Favorites Menu"

You can hide the Links bar in IE by right clicking on the menu area an unchecking "Links".
