You can do that with a simple bit of hardware that plugs a mouse, monitor
and keyboard into that hardware and a cable for mouse, monitor and keyboard
comes out of that for each machine. They are common. You can do it over a
network with a program like PC Anywhere, which I use for that task. The 2
computers act separately but still work. I have a 98SE with no keyboard,
only a mouse attached and control it from this XP machine.

If you establish your Network correctly there is no need for additional
software such as PC anywhere. Goodness me: what is the definition of a
Network!

Two [or more] PC can be connected to a Common Mouse, Keyboard and Monitor:
these can be bought at most PC stores.

The two PC's can be networked together using ethernet cable to a SWITCH [or
cheap hub] and the Cable Modem can also connect to the Switch or Hub.

This way, both can access each other's files and printers and also get onto
the internet if you wish.

It'll look lik this:

Keyboard Mouse Monitor
| | |
----------------------
| control switch |
----------------------
| |
| |
PC1 PC2 MODEM
| | |
| | |
________________
| switch / hub |

Sorry but you obviously dont understand. If you dont have a monitor and
keyboard for each machine for whatever reason, you can control one machine
over your network with PC Anywhere. Goodness me, that is what a network is
useful in handling! Sheesh!

I did say that. You may not have bothered to read it.

Thank for your advice.I would appreciate your suggestion about manufct.
names and specifications for CONTROL SWITCH,SWITCH/HUB and cables.
Thank you.
