linking slides with flash

I would like to create a clickable map in flash and embed it into Powerpoint.
Depending on the part of the map is clicked on this would then link to a
certain slide in the ppt presentation

Is this possible? if so could someone point me in the direction of a good
tutorial.. thx

You could create "hot spot" links in PPT to do this, but I don't think Flash
in PPT (i.e., a SWF) can be interactive in this manner.

In addition, Flash plays on top of other objects, so you can't place the hot
spot links on top of a Flash object.

You could do a map animation-type thing in a Flash object, then use an
entrance animation so just a regular image of the map appears and an exit
animation to make the Flash object disappear. Then you could put the hot
spot links on top of the image.

So I guess the question is, do you really need the map to be in Flash?
